I never realize how much of a daddy's girl i am, getting everything (well, almost everything) my way. If i have to list down everything that i got away with my dad, i wouldn't finish writing until tomorrow or heck maybe even next week. Still, here goes some (and that probably means 0.1% of the total of it).
- He paid for the cost of replacing the front mirror, the engine hood (or whatever it is called), and the front light and well everything that has to be replaced after i hit a pick-up truck. That, and i never even got a single scolding.
- I lost a white gold ring that cost quite a $$$$$ a few days after he gave it for my birthday. (In my defense it was at a surau during buka puasa and it probably went for sedekah =D)
- The new phone he got me got soaked in the river during my visit to Ulu Yam with some friends. The phone was a total lost. And this happen exactly one month after i got it, again as a birthday present.*Yeah i have quite a bad luck when it comes to birthday presents.*
- I showed up at his office unannounced to print a 100 page report because 1) i have no time to go home and print to meet the dateline and 2) it was ridiculously expensive to print at the shop in college. Talk about family exploitation. He actually got one of his staff to do it for me (-.-")
So that was a few of the things that he lets me get away with. That, times 5872 and you get the whole list. These kinds of things happen to me all the time i lost count of it *tepuk dahi*. However, he wont't compromise when it comes unethical behavior or study/future related. He is, after all, a dad who wants his kids to be well educated and well behaved persons. So far, i could say proudly that i have never really failed him in that department *cheers* and i don't intend to do so in the future either. The least i could do is by giving him a daughter that he could be proud of.
And i end this post with something that happened earlier this morning before he left for work.
Me: Abah, can i put one gate remote in my car? I always forgot to bring my keys.
Abah: Yeah sure. Take the old one in the drawer.
Me: Uuuummm *not very satisfied* the old is very ugly la, black and everything. I want the new want. *yeah i know a bit mengada*
Abah: Hmm ok la you can take the new one.
See, he always lets me have my way. =D
