Oh wow.
It's been a VERY LONG WHILE.
To the few who knows of the existence of this blog, I'm sorry for the temporary shut down. Been on the down-side more than up for the last couple of months. If i were to write, they were gonna come out depressing and annoyingly whiny. Trust me, i just spare you your peace of mind.
Life has gone into full supersonic mode lately. Let me give you a quick run through on what has happened since i was last here:

1. Had one of the most depressing client earlier this year. Got me wondering why i was breaking my bones for it. Couldn't find any plausible reason. Said bye-bye to the world of internal audit. Been a good 2 years. Learnt a lot from some of the best people in the business. Time to move on to the field i'm actually excellent at instead of just good.
2. Had a loooooooooooooooonnnggg break. 5 months to be exact. Was on a couple of rounds of holiday. Hehe.

New Zealand is the most beautiful country i've ever visited so far. Breathtaking landscapes to keep you accompanied while driving across the South island of New Zealand. Sometimes soft, sometimes rugged, all the time unpredictably beautiful. If you love the nature, i promise you won't be bored for a single second.

And then there's Lombok. The local said this was how Bali used to look like before it gets overly commercialized. It was quite a hassle to get to this Kuta beach (for some reason, same name as the famous beach in Bali too. Am starting to think they are a bit jealous of their famous friend, no?) But, the beach is an untouched beauty on a league of its own. And the best part is, it is not crowded with tourists and you can sit and admire the scenery, lost in your own world of thoughts. It felt like being transported to a different world where all the hustle and bustle of life doesn't make any sense at all. All there is to life was the sun, the sea, and you. If only.
And then, there's NOW.

Liverpool baby!
No no. I'm not here to play football. Or stalk the football players (Tho I secretly hope i could do that). I'm actually here to study, believe it or not. I've always had this plan at the back of mind since i left Uni. But i kept it there for a while, waiting for the right time to put it into action. The long break gave me the perfect opportunity to kick-start the whole process. And here i am now, a MSc student majoring in aerospace and mechanical engineering. A field i've left for a while, but still as much in love with it as i was 2 years ago.
New place, new people, a totally different environment. I arrived alone 2 weeks later than the admission date. It was lonely at first, having to scrap from scratch on your own. Trying to make the new place as much of a home as i could. Slowly, i started meeting people. I'm still adapting and quite frankly, i think i'll never get to stop from doing that. There's always something new to discover everyday.
Thankfully, Allah swt has been so generous to me so far. I've met some great friends who made being away from a place i called home for the last 24 years seems much more bearable. Changing my routine from a working adult back into a student life hasn't been exactly smooth. I swear some days i just felt so lazy it was a nightmare. Haha. Nothing new actually. Was always the lazy one back in UM anyway hehe.
So wish me all the luck. God knows i need loads of them. If anyone is ever in this country, drop by the Merseyside and say hello to me!
